Witness Testimony: Trial of Mae Tuck

Mr. Foster’s Testimony
My name is Mr. Foster. I live with my wife, Winnie, and G’ma. We own the Treegap Wood. We live in Treegap. We all are very neat. One day Winnie was talking to a toad across the road. Then the next morning Winnie was gone. We were all very worried. We stood up all night trying to find her.

In a day the man in the yellow suit came to our house and said that he knew where Winnie was. Then he lectured us about the Tucks and what the house looked like and also how dirty it was and where Winnie was. Winnie said she was never kidnapped and at that I thought she was lying about it. So it all has brought me here to prove Mae guilty for killing the man in the yellow suit.

Testimony of Winnie Foster
DEFENSE

My name is Winnie Foster and I’ve lived in Treegap as long as anyone’s been there.   I met the Tucks one day while exploring in my woods. I went to their house with them and they gave me dinner. I stayed for the night and in the morning, they gave me flapjacks. After breakfast, they were going to take me home. I got to ride a horse and go on a rowboat. They were never mean at all, and they wouldn’t ever hurt anybody without a real good reason.
The yellow suited man showed up during breakfast and said that he’d been followin’ the Tucks and I around for days and that he stole their horse. He then tried to take me away forcibly so I could do somethin’ bad, and then Mae hit him with the gun so I wouldn’t get hurt. The man in the yellow suit was cruel and a little insane. She was only tryin’ to do what’s right: protect the ones you love.

Constable

My name is Skylee Jones and I live at 129 Awesome Street in Treegap, Georgia.  I enforce the law in Treegap.  I have been in the law enforcement business for around 30 years.
Late one night, I was awakened by a man.  His name was Jackson Cat, but everyone called him the Man in the Yellow Suit.  He was upset and told me that Winnie Foster was kidnapped by the Tucks.  I was surprised because nothing like that really ever happens in these parts, but the Man in the Yellow Suit was sure of it.
On the way to the Tucks to get Winnie, the Main in the Yellow Suit told me that the Fosters sold him the wood to retrieve their daughter.  The Tucks lived a good 20 miles away.  The Man in the Yellow Suit rode ahead of me.  I didn’t care.  I would get there when I get there.
Everything was fine until I got to the house.  As soon as I came around the corner to the house, I saw Mae hit the Man in the Yellow suit right in the head with a shotgun.  He was not dead yet, but did not look good.  I asked Mae why she hit him and she said, “He was taking the child.”  Winnie claimed that she went with them on her own and that they were friends.
That’s when I took charge.  I told the male Tucks to take the Man in the Yellow Suit inside and look after him.  I took the girl and Mae Tuck with me. Winnie was going home and Mae was going to jail then the gallows.

Mae Tuck Testimony

My name is Mae Tuck. I live outside of treegap with my husband Angus Tuck and my two kids Miles and Jesse Tuck. I met Winnie when I found her talking to Jesse. I invited her to come to dinner later that day. We had a race to get to where we would rest first. We had gotten so tired that we started our track back home the next morning. We eventually made it home and had breakfast. That morning Miles went fishing with Winnie but sadly did not catch any fish. We heard a visitor at the door it was the man in the yellow suit. The man said im taking Winnie to get the wood, and sell a product. He was taking Winnie against her will. My first instinct was to wack him in the head with Jesses shotgun. I didnt mean to kill the man I was just trying to help Winnie. The constable saw everything then took Winnie home and me to the jail house.

     Grandma Foster’s Testimony

I am Rhianna Foster and I live in the suburbs of Treegap. I have lived there for my whole life. I like things neat I even told Winniefred to get up off the grass because I didn’t want her stockings or skirt to get dirty. When the man in the yellow suit came to my gate and Winniefred was talking to him I ran out there to make sure she was ok. When I started to talk to the man in the yellow suit we heard elves that I haven’t heard for many years. It was Winniefred’s first time hearing the elves and she thought that it was a music box. Before we went inside I made sure that the gate was locked. The next I woke up and Winniefred wasn’t in her room. I decided to go up and check if she was up there because she didn’t come down for breakfast and she always comes down for breakfast. When we saw that she wasn’t up there we went into a panic. Early the next day the man in the yello;w suit came to our house saying that he knew where our kid was. But before he would tell us where she was he said to us if I tell you where your kid is will you trade me the wood for your kid. We said we would make the trade but it took us a while to answer. When we got Winniefred back we were very relieved. The next day after we got Winniefred back she went outside. She came in and said can I have a bowl of water to moisten a toad. I said where is it? She said it is across the street and I said that I would go with her. The kidnapper A.K.A killer was sent to jail and the gallows.
